Hearts and Hands - by Rick Postma

I’d like to highlight the many women who spend countless hours using their creative talents to make blankets, sweaters, little infant hats and booties, finger puppets, and much more. Some do this alone, but many gather on a regular basis in mission circles. There they enjoy good fellowship while making many needed articles for countless precious individuals in the developing world. Their hearts and hands reach out in love to children and older ones in Africa and Latin America – people they will never meet, but people who nevertheless thank them from afar for their loving deeds.

Girls in Malawi enjoy finger puppets lovingly made by the late
Mrs. Boukje Wiegman of
London, Ontario.

The Vineland mission circle is shown below. We have also included pictures of some of their handiwork being handed out. We’d like to include pictures of other groups in our next yearly volunteer issue, so please send us your photos by mail or email.

Thank you, ladies!

May the Lord richly bless your countless loving acts of kindness to the wellbeing of many needy people in the developing world. May they, in turn, give thanks to the Lord for you.
