 Sponsoring a child may be something you've always wanted to do, but never got around to doing. This Christmas season, Word & Deed is launching a sponsorship drive with a goal of sponsoring 100 children in the community of Bajo Malecon (Quininde, Ecuador) within the next three months.
Typically, these children come from families that have an income of less than $100 USD/month. Because of a lack of income, many families in Quininde are unable to build houses adequate for their needs... |

 Over $260,000 has been donated to Word & Deed for famine relief in East Africa to date. Donations made in Canada between July 6 and September 16 are being matched by the Canadian government and allocated to a famine relief fund (see previous news release).
